A History of Kentucky Baptists - Vol. I

J.H. Spencer's "A History of Kentucky Baptists, Vol. I" traces the rise and development of Baptist life in Kentucky from its earliest beginnings through the formative years of the movement. Blending church records, historical context, and accounts of key figures, the book shows how congregations took root, how beliefs and practices were shaped over time, and how Baptists navigated the social and religious challenges of their era. More than a simple chronology, Spencer presents a vivid narrative of community-building—revealing the struggles, convictions, and relationships that helped define Kentucky Baptists and leave a lasting mark on the region's religious landscape. A History of Kentucky Baptists - Vol. I is an unchanged, high-quality reprint of the original edition of 1885.
