New Poems

Edmund W. Gosse's "New Poems" is a fresh and compelling collection that captures the delicate tensions of modern feeling—between refinement and unrest, observation and longing. Across its poems, Gosse moves with a steady lyric grace, drawing the reader into vivid moments of beauty while quietly probing deeper questions of identity, memory, and the inner life. With careful language and a keen ear for rhythm, the collection offers not just moments of pleasure, but also a subtle sense of discovery: each poem feels like a new window opened onto emotion, thought, and the ever-changing landscape of the self. New Poems is an unchanged, high-quality reprint of the original edition of 1879.
