An Autobiography

In "An Autobiography", Anthony Trollope gives readers a candid, engaging look at his life and the forces that shaped his writing. Blending vivid personal memories with reflections on ambition, discipline, and the craft of storytelling, he traces how his career developed from early experiences into the steady, productive work that made him one of the most influential novelists of his time. More than a simple life account, the book explores the everyday realities behind creative success—work routines, setbacks, practical concerns, and the persistence required to keep going. Through Trollope's clear, often witty voice, we see not only what he did, but how he thought, why he wrote, and what he believed mattered in both art and life. An Autobiography is an unchanged, high-quality reprint of the original edition of 1883.
