A History of the McCormick Theological Seminary of the Presbyterian Church

Le Roy Halsey's "A History of the McCormick Theological Seminary of the Presbyterian Church" traces the development of McCormick Theological Seminary and shows how its mission, values, and community were shaped by the changing needs of American Presbyterianism. Through a historical narrative rooted in institutional milestones, the book highlights the seminary's response to theological debates, educational demands, and the broader social currents of its time. More than a record of dates and buildings, it presents the seminary as a living center of training and conviction—where generations of students and faculty worked to form pastors and leaders committed to doctrine, scholarship, and service. A History of the McCormick Theological Seminary of the Presbyterian Church is an unchanged, high-quality reprint of the original edition of 1893.
